9th September 2019: RSM Partners is delighted to be supporting the University of Wolverhampton Students' Union's Mainframe Society stand at the Freshers Fayre, City campus, on Friday 27th September 2019.
The focus of the Mainframe Society stand at the Freshers Fayre will be to recruit new members by educating them on the benefits and opportunities available in the mainframe sector for University of Wolverhampton students.
The Students' Union Mainframe Society plans numerous activities throughout the year, including: IBM's Master The Mainframe Workshops and Yearly Competition; guest speakers; GSE UK Conference event (one of the largest events for Mainframe people in the UK); trips to mainframe partners; and more.
In 2017, RSM launched its Mainframer in Training (MIT) Programme, helping ease the mainframe skills shortage by creating the next generation of experts through the hiring and educating of trainees. As a leading provider of IBM Z mainframe skills and services, we understand the difficulties that organizations face in locating mainframe people and expertise. We have therefore developed an on-going programme of engaging with universities, colleges and schools to encourage students to consider a career in the mainframe arena.
